Our 2013 AFT annual conference took place from the 19th to the 22nd at Imperial College in London and London AFT did us proud. It was described by many delegates as a wonderful conference providing an exciitng, vibrant and rich experience.

On the Thursday afternoon, prior to our AGM, the themes of Hope and Resilience were eloquently expressed by the Cockburn family, when Patrick, Henry and Jan read from their moving and heartfelt book “Henry’s Demons”.

The following morning the opening ceremony invited us in a powerful and moving way, through music and drama, to engage with the themes of Hope and Resilience.

These themes wound their way through the conference in varied and unexpected ways, culminating in an engaging and transformational closing ceremony, where our messages of hope were carried symbolically into the future.

Thank you to all those who attended and made it so successful.
