An exciting opportunity for a Band 7, 10 sessions Specialist / 8a, 8 sessions, Highly Specialist Family Psychotherapist, dependent upon experience, has arisen in Hillingdon Child, Family and Adolescent Consultation Service. Along with other systemic practitioners and multidisciplinary colleagues you will contribute to a friendly and well functioning service for children, adolescents and their families with complex mental health needs.
We would also like to invite applicants for an innovative post for a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist, Band 7, to provide an outreach service to six local schools. The service is intended to provide assessment and short-term treatment and group work. In-service training initially and consultation for this specialism will be provided by the Education Unit at the Marlborough Family Service.
You will receive clinical supervision from the Principal Family Psychotherapist, who will lead the development of the Family Psychotherapy Service in Hillingdon and be managerially and professionally accountable to the Head of Profession. Applicants should have a previous relevant professional qualification, hold a systemic professional qualification, have had experience in childcare setting. For the 8a banding post the applicant should have at least two years post systemic qualification experience within a CAMHS or child statutory care service, and be UKCP registered.
The clinic is based in Uxbridge, which is an easy commute from central London. There are excellent facilities and high tech video equipment for team working as well as a family therapy forum, which other disciplines can attend. There are regular multidisciplinary case reviews. In addition, every two weeks there is a referral and case discussion group for the systemic psychotherapists in Hillingdon. You will belong to a large, lively group of Family Psychotherapists (the largest in the country) across CNWL Foundation NHS Trust who meet regularly for CPD, chaired by the Head of Profession, CNWL. Student placements and research are encouraged. Professional development is given high priority. The Tube Station is on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly line is a few minutes walk away and the M4 and A40 within easy reach.
