| The Role |
| This role is a Fixed Term Contract until 2014 |
| We have based our methodological approaches on research evidence and on an analysis of what methods best suit the people we work with in Hackney. We expect all our practitioners to adopt a systemic approach to their practice and we expect them to use social learning theory techniques when working with children and families. |
| We believe in positive behavioural interventions and strongly believe in the possibility of change. |
| The Requirements |
| We are implementing our approach through small units of professionals. Each unit will have a dedicated clinician to support the thinking of the group and the direct work with families. So we need skilled and enthusiastic Family Therapists to join us and provide specialist clinical support to children and young people living in Hackney. |
| We need people who have the capacity to provide supervisory support to less experienced staff in an inclusive manner. |
| Responsibilities |
| As a Family Therapist Worker you will have Clinical lead for the case work within the Young Hackney Family Unit. The role will include: • Providing systemic therapeutic interventions to support the emotional and mental health needs of young people • Working flexibly and creatively in the community and the homes of young people • Providing clinical consultation and joint work opportunities • Providing high quality clinical assessments and reports |

| Your ability to assist the thinking of your colleagues using your clinical lens is vital to the role that you will play in planning how best to respond holistically to the families needs. You will inform care plans as well as undertake interventions and therapeutic assessments. |
