| The Specislist Psychological Therapies Service (SPTS) is a tertiary level multidisciplinary psychological therapy service serving MHOA and primary care in Lewisham. The SPTS provides formal cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and systemic family therapy to clients across the borough along with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for staff. This part time permanent post will work for one session each week with the formal family therapy service of the SPTS. In addition, you will be dedicated for a day each week to both the North and South Lewisham Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs). | |

| The post holder will take responsibility for co-ordinating and developing systemic family therapy within the Wimbledon Guild Counselling Service. The Wimbledon Guild is a local charity that offers a range of services to the local community. Family Therapy was added to existing services five years ago. This part of the service presently has five volunteer trainee family therapists who see families that self refer, or are referred from a variety of local sources. The post is two sessions a week that can be worked flexibly. Responsibilities include developing the service and co-ordinating all aspects of the day to day running of the service, including liaising with referrers, allocating clients, setting up administrative procedures, data entry to the service database etc. Clinical supervision is provided outside the service and internal management supervision is provided by head of counselling, a registered psychotherapist. There is a fully equipped family therapy suite. We are looking for a qualified and registered family therapist who is capable of taking responsibility and initiative. It is desirable that the post holder has some experience of the NHS, management experience and some experience of working with volunteers. | |
