| Cost: £170.00 | |
| Barnett Pearce (Ph.D) is Professor, School of Human and Organisation Development, Fielding Graduate University. He is one of the major developers of the theory of Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) that has been found useful by many people working with families and in other contexts. His most recent book is Making Social Worlds: A Communication Perspective (Blackwell Publishing). | |
| CMM is both a communication theory and a community of practice. In this workshop, we’ll explore some ways to use CMM’s heuristics to intervene in challenging patterns of communication and to structure more constructive patterns. This will be a highly participatory workshop. The primary objective is to enhance participant’s skills in using CMM’s heuristics; serendipitous objectives include the opportunity to work through a challenging situation you bring to the workshop and to experience the impetus to personal and social development that using CMM’s heuristics provide. | |
