Introductory Course in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
October 2008 - May 2009 (Year 1)

This course provides an introduction to systemic and narrative perspectives and practices when working with families across the life span. This may be seeing people individually, as a couple, or in varying combinations.
Intermediate Course in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
October 2008 - May 2009 (Year 2)

Cost - £1250
Location - 208 Monyhull Hall Road, Kings Norton, Birmingham
This course comprises 3 modules over a year, focusing on developing systemic and narrative skills in practice. The course includes supervision of course participants' practice from their own working contexts. It is designed for practitioners who have completed an introductory course in family/systemic therapy and who wish to further develop their practice skills within a systemic approach.
Postgraduate Diploma and MA in Systemic Therapy
September 2008 - July 2010 (Years 3 & 4)

Cost - £3750 per year
Location - Parkview Clinic, Moseley, Birmingham
Years 3 and 4 comprise a two-year part time course, professionally accredited by AFT, and academically validated by University of Birmingham as a Postgraduate Diploma. (Negotiations are in progress to include an MA within the programme.) The course leads to qualified status through the Association for Family Therapy as a Systemic Psychotherapist.
The course takes place at Parkview Clinic and includes where, in addition to a programme of academic study, course members see clients under live, taped and reported supervision. Trainees have an honorary contract with CAMHS as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist in Training.
