The Journal of Family Therapy

The Journal of Family Therapy seeks to advance the understanding of human systems such as couples, families, professional networks and wider groups, and how to most effectively intervene in such systems.  It will publish articles on theory, research, practice and training, which are written in language that is accessible both to family therapists and other disciplines.

The high-profile editorial board includes leading academics and professionals from around the world in keeping with an intention to attract a high standard of international contributions, which will have global reach and influence.

Context

Context, the magazine for family therapy and systemic practice, covers news and views on issues of concern to all professional groups working with children and families in a therapeutic environment. Context provides a user-friendly forum for sharing and stimulating therapeutic ideas among people working in both the public and independent sectors. Context contains a wealth of information about events, conferences, workshops and jobs in the family therapy field.

Stories, pictures and comments from people who have experienced Family Therapy as clients. Sometimes clients are referred to as ‘service users’. AFT prefers to call them ‘experts by experience’. Sometimes, to protect the anonymity of our ‘experts by experience’, we have edited or changed identifying details.
