This interactive one-day workshop introduces the core principles and practices of effective supervision. It is designed for counsellors, psychotherapists, and helping professionals who wish to develop or refresh their supervisory skills.

 

Through theory, reflection, and practical exercises, participants explore:

  • The purpose and role of supervision,
  • Normative, formative, and restorative functions (Proctor, 1986).
  • Ethical practice, boundaries and contracting
  • An accessible introduction to the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet, 1989).
  • Skills Practice and Feedback

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the key responsibilities and ethical considerations of the supervisor role
  • Be able to apply core models of supervision in practice
  • Strengthen their confidence in supporting supervisees’ professional growth
