Your Subscription and RenewalMembershipAFT membership now runs from 1st March to the end of February each year. All members are sent a renewal email/invoice in January. Please use the invoice number as the reference when paying your invoice. For membership benefits to be continuous, members should have renewed no later than 14th March. Annual subscription fees can be found on the join/renewal page. When members join part-way through a year membership will only run until the end of February that year. Thereafter your annual membership subscription will need to be renewed for the next 1st March to end of February subscription period.

FAQsYes. You are welcome to join as a ‘member’ of AFT to support your systemic skills and knowledge. Membership invoices can be paid by BACs, Direct Debit or Cheque. Please ensure that you use your invoice number as the reference when making your payment. If you join part way through the year or do not renew by the 14th March, back copies are not sent. However, all members are able to access electronic versions for both editions of the Journal and Context online. AFT should be advised of non-delivery of Context magazine within a month of the publication date for a replacement copy to be sent. Please first ensure that your AFT membership is current. Please contact AFT’s membership administrator to check your record regarding past support with UKCP registration and your CPD cycle. The reasons for re-registration are detailed in section 6 of the 'Registration Policy' for validation to the UKCP register via AFT. For example, if your AFT membership has lapsed for more than 12 months and you wish for AFT to support you with UKCP registration a re-registration application may be required. Changing membership: If you wish to change your membership from ‘Registered Member’ you will need to contact AFT's membership administrator regarding your UKCP registration status. If you wish to change from any of the following you can do so automatically:
Transferring membership: Membership must first be renewed under your current category if you seek transfer to a member category requiring an additional formal application. This processes is completed by the AFT office not Wiley. The application must be submitted, by post, with documentation to the AFT office. If approved, your category of membership will be transferred over. UKCP Registration - View the application process here. If you are no-longer practising (i.e. not working with clients / not listed as an AFT Approved Supervisor / not on the UKCP register) you may transfer to the ‘retired’ member rate. You cannot transfer to this rate if you are pre-retirement. You can update your details in ‘My Profile’. If you have difficulties accessing your member profile please contact us. NB. We ask that your 'username' be your email address. Therefore, if you update your email address you will also need to updated your username. If you are a 'Registered Member' and/or on the 'Approved Supervisor List', please also contact AFT's membership administrator to update your details on the office internal record system which is separate to your membership profile. See Contact Us AFT are unable to ‘hold or suspend’ payment of membership. Should membership lapse, the individual would need to contact AFT if they wish to reinstate it. For members (Registered member) whom AFT supports for UKCP registration, please see AFT’s Registration Policy for details on membership supporting CPD in times of absence. No. Unlike Professional Registration Bodies who provide registrants with certificates each year, AFT is a member organisation. We do not send certificates of membership. Please keep a record of the email confirmation you receive at payment for your records. The AFT logo may only be used for AFT official business and not by individual members. AFT is a professional membership organisation, but not a registration body. As such AFT does not hold a public register or hear clinical complaints. Individuals who hold registration with a Professional Body, e.g. UKCP, HCPC, BACP etc, may be entitled to use the Professional Bodies logo and that of the PSA on materials such as websites and in print. Please contact your Professional Registration Body for details. AFT Members may, on their material, link to the AFT website. Yes.
