National Assessors

How can AFT assist you as an employer?

The Professional Affairs Committee (PAC) of AFT has a panel of National Assessors who are prepared to support employers with the recruitment of family therapists.

Who are National Assessors?

AFT seek to provide, on request, independent external National Assessors who can provide advice and guidance to employers with respect to the employment of systemic family psychotherapists.  National Assessors are all qualified family and systemic psychotherapists who are UKCP Registered and members of AFT with considerable experience in the field. 

 

What assistance can AFT offer?

  • Template job specifications on the Information for Employers & Commissioners page of the website
  • Advise on how to set up a new post
  • Assistance with short-listing candidates
  • Attendance at interview panels in an advisory capacity
  • Advertising new posts (see below)

 

Is there a cost to the Employer?

  • AFT do not charge for the services of a National Assessor.
  • Employers would be expected to pay expenses for National Assessors who attend interview panels.
