More about Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) EssentialsEmotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is an attachment-based approach that combines both systemic and experiential interventions to mend broken bonds and heal fractured families. Beginning in 2024, the Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) Essentials training consolidates the previous Level 1 and Level 2 trainings into a comprehensive 4-day (24hr) programme. This training provides a thorough understanding of the EFFT model within an attachment science framework. Through theoretical instruction and experiential exercises, participants are guided to apply the model to families, aiding their development into proficient EFFT therapists. This training demonstrates the practical steps the EFT therapist follows in working through relational distress in families using the EFT process of change. Specific interventions are demonstrated to promote a clinician’s ability to work through parent and child relational blocks using attachment-based and emotionally focused techniques. Participants will learn a powerful transformative approach that is foundational in helping parents and children who are struggling with remaining securely attached. Registration on the 1st day is at 8:30am and the day will finish at 5:00pm. The remaining 3 days will run from 9:00am - 5.00pm.
